Instructions for Reviewers
The review from external peers is a process we conduct in all papers that are submitted to be published. As the editorial committee is conformed by medical students, the paper requires reviewing from suitable specialists in the different topics that are seen by the journal.
The external peers review ad honórem in a time span of four weeks. Their participation is acknowledged with a letter of gratitude and a certificate of participation.
Two external peers are assigned per paper and corrections are done anonymously.
Subsequently the editor in chief is the one that sends these suggestions to the authors through Open Journal System (OJS) so then the article can be published. At the same time, an external peer can suggest that an article is rejected, but the final decision is taken by the editorial committee.
