Abstract

A previously healthy 30-year-old female presented to the consult with a six-month history of right palpebral ptosis, blurry vision, limb weakness and subsequent development of dysphagia. A Myasthenic Generalized Syndrome is considered as a possible diagnosis. The Ice Pack Test is performed, a cheap, reliable and fast bedside test that increases the probability of Myasthenia Gravis (MG) with a high evidence level. The exam was positive (LR+ 24,0).  MG was confirmed with antibodies assays and neurophysiological studies.
