Peer review process

The Revista Medico Cientifica performs an initial review by 3 editors belonging to the editorial committee. Subsequently, a review is carried out by 2 external peers to the editorial committee and the organization. These external peers are of the specialty related to the submitted manuscript.

Revista Médico Científica uses double-blind review, which means that both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process. This double blind method is performed within the possibilities that the virtual platform (OJS) allows us.

To facilitate this process, authors need to ensure that their manuscripts are prepared in accordance with the provisions of the manuals in this journal's submission guidelines, so that their identity is not revealed.

Publication frequency

The Revista Medico Cientifica is published annually.

The journal will decide to assign a work to a determined volume, once this work has gone through all the pertinent and obligatory revision processes according to our norms and editorial process, without having to have all the complete content of said volume.

The works that are received later will follow the same review and publication process; Authors will be notified of the status of their work throughout the process.
